Dear Reader
Comparing Yourself to others leads to misery, so please stop! Comparing yourself to others is like a poison in the mind that corrupts and distorts every accomplishment you’ve ever received. You can never be happy if you are always looking to see what someone else is doing. Why? Easy, because your joy has been taken from you.
Let’s say you’re studying for the hardest test in your life. You’ve decided not to hang out with your friends and have transformed into a hermit crap to study for that test. It’s test day. You walk in, sit your backpack in front of the room, cell phones off, in the bucket, pencils down, and times start. You opened the test, and none of the questions look familiar.
So, it’s just you and the good Lord above you to finish this test. Time is running out—20 minutes left—and you finally start recognizing some questions. Boom! Times up, you completed all the questions. How do you feel? Nervous?
Now, it’s the day test scores are released. You got an 85. Congrats. But there’s a problem: remember those friends you said no to hanging out with? They are in the same class as you and spent the whole weekend goofing around. What grade did they get? They got a 90. One of them got a 90 without even trying. How do you feel? Still proud of that 85?
In life, you have to learn that there will always be someone more talented, less talented, younger, or older who will get ahead of you. It’s nothing personal! We often see someone’s year three progress as year 1 when that is not the case.
Everyone isn’t making more than 100k a year, driving a Lambo, and living in a multi-million-dollar mansion. Okay! It’s unrealistic! So, calm down, soldier, because you’re doing just fine in life.
In life, you must do what makes you happy! Buy clothes that make you feel cute, comfortable, and beautiful! Who cares about anyone else? You’re a fantastic person! Why would you want to be like anyone else?
Everyone has their own problems. On social media, you see a glamorized version of everyone’s life. It’s made to make you crave their lifestyle. A lifestyle, mind you, that doesn’t exist. What you see is a highlight. That’s why it is called a reel. It’s a short snapshot of somebody’s life. So, stop falling for the glittery box of poop. The box may sparkle, the box may shine, but that doesn’t change the fact that what’s in the box is still poop.
So, In conclusion,
PLEASE STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS!
Love, Missy
The End.
